Rug Tufting Tutorial | Step By Step Guide

you need these tools so I'll tell you the list
right now now this is the primary tool you're   gonna need in order to start this entire Journey
there are many tufting guns out there but this is   the one I bought from Amazon and it's worked
perfectly throughout this entire time so if   you're in need of one I have the link in the
description next thing you'll need is fabric   primarily Monk's cloth then you'll need backing
fabric I started with felt but I later switched   to anti-slip that provides a more premium and
professional feel to the rug next will be yarn   only pick the colors that you need because
believe me you will have tons of yarn once   you begin and let's not forget the frame make
sure it's completely sturdy and it's ready to   be used whether it's custom or pre-made make sure
everything's on there tight and securely the last   thing you want is an unsecure and swaying frame
of course we can't forget glue throughout this   video you'll see me use three different types of
glue to finish the rug finally I use scissors and   shears to detail and shape and if you guys need
a more in-depth description about these tufting   items I have a video for that look at the top
right to start you're going to need to apply   the fabric to the frame but there is a couple
of steps to this so follow with me first to   know that you're applying it correctly there will
be lines that go vertically and horizontally now   once you've applied it to the frame there's one
more step what you want to do is carefully grab   each end of the frame and pull as hard as possible
making sure that the fabric is extremely tight on   the frame once you've done that you can do the
tufters test what you want to do is flick the   fabric as hard as possible now if the fabric
is soft that means that you've applied it in   correctly but if the fabric bounces back very
quick you know you've done it now once you're   ready to start tufting take out your projector
and set it up a good length away from your frame   also try not to over complicate picking an image
you can always look on Google or design something   yourself once you have the photo put it onto
your computer and start projecting Now flip the   photo as well you can do that in any type of
software even preview if you have a Macbook   sometimes you can't get the projector in
the perfect spot remember you can always   move the image around on your computer as
well now you're ready to trace you want to   outline each color of your design try and get
as close as possible so it's a perfect outline foreign once everything's outlined on your fabric you
want to label each color as well believe me you   don't want to be confused when you're inserting
the yarn now for the tufting gun there's things   that you need to be aware of cleaning the tufting
gun is really important otherwise anyone that you   buy at any price will break sooner than later so
I'm going to show you how to clean it take care of   it and the settings that I use for my gun before
I show you how to clean it please turn off your   gun flip the switch down and make sure that any
bright light on the gun is completely turned off   now I use a microfiber cloth and a brush I only
use the brush if there's a little bit of yarn left   on the gun so here you'll see me brushing off the
important parts of the gun and if there's a small   space that you can't get to you can always twist
the gear and that will allow you to get more space   after this I'll lightly oil the gun and then turn
it on for around 30 seconds now if you see a black   residue or a black Gunk on the gun then turn off
the gun take your microfiber cloth and clean off   that residue once again you can spin the gear
to get those tight spaces and once it's cleaned   I lightly oil it and then turn it on now for the
settings this is an Industrial Tool so please be   careful with this there's enough knob located at
the bottom of the Gun there's a little white line   I try to keep that close to the lowest factory
setting now of course you can turn this up higher   which means the gun will be tufting at a higher
rate of speed so this is important to know for   the next step this can lead to more problems
like cutting the fabric and potentially just   ruining your rug a slower speed allows you to get
more detail and altogether just a better rug and   at the same time if you're watching this video
I'm guessing you're a beginner which starting   at a slower speed will definitely help you so
much now for those that don't know the tufting   gun guides you in an upward position let the
gun guide you the only time I guide the gun   is if there's a curve or I have to go diagonal
mostly just for making shapes now for the part   everyone's been waiting for if you get Red Heart
yarn like I do you can either take the Strand from   the outside or the inside though I definitely
recommend taking it from the inside because   eventually it can become Tangled if you take it
from the outside strand assuming you already have   the yarn looped through the frame like so take
your gun and thread the yarn through like this thank you leave a little bit of yarn hanging off the end
when tufting designs I normally outline the rug   first and then fill it in when threading the
Border I normally do three lines thick but if   your design doesn't require an outline that's
okay too normally you're going to want to use   the gun vertically sometimes it may require you to
go horizontally or diagonal I like to outline each   separate color and then I fill it in vertically
and make sure that the yarn is fully embedded   in the fabric also watch how close my lines
are this is normally how close you want them [Music] [Music] [Music] applying the same amount of pressure all the way
through creating the rug is definitely important   now you see this little thing hold on hold on
let me get a little closer you see this I don't   cut these anymore I pull them out the reason you
don't cut them is because one that can lead to   cutting your rug and the most important reason
why is because they don't actually stick into   the rug itself though if you do end up ripping
your fabric there is a fix to that but since I   didn't rip my fabric I didn't want to just rip it
to fix it so if you guys really want that video   please spam it in the comments section now that
you filled in your design you want to glue it   for this I'm using Robert's 3000 carpet glue now
it doesn't really matter what type of flooring   you have protect your floor from this glue I
have carpet and it can absolutely destroy it   so I bought super cheap gym mat set on the floor
underneath there's an important reason why I use   this glue and that will come into the video
later as well you can either put a glove on   or get a little spatula make sure that there's
barely any clumps and leave everything even make   sure you do this step within a ventilated
area you don't want to inhale fumes all day now you wait 12 to 48 hours for the
glue to dry once it's finished you   can cut the rug out just make sure that
you leave a little bit of excess fabric   so you can fold it over on the second glowing step foreign flat down on a table and I cut little
pieces all the way around the rug the point of doing this is to fold them
inward into the rod now feel if the glue   is still kind of tacky on the back side
of the rug and if it is now you can fold   in each piece that you cut from here I take
hot glue and spray adhesive glue and apply   the backing on the way that I prefer
to apply it is by doing it little by   little otherwise the hot glue dries way too
fast and you really don't want that laughs something to remember when you are applying
the glue make sure that you apply pressure   on the entire rug each time you apply glue now I
cut off the excess backing Fabric and as you can   tell everything's starting to come together now
it's time to shave the rug I like to use my big   shears which are called Beach Rose if you guys
do decide to buy this year it does not come with   a guide that I have online I made that separately
on my own and that little white piece that I have   on that as well I have a whole video explaining
what that is and how I created that and now I   have a 3D printer to produce them it allows a
vacuum to be attached to the guide itself so   it makes cleanup time way faster and it stops
the shear from overheating now the reason why   I have a guide on it is so it makes a clean Glide
across the entire rug inconsistencies in the rug   will definitely make it not feel professional
whatsoever and a lot of the time with the mess   up like that you can't really get your work back
once that's done I use scissors to detail the rest   of the rug I Glide my scissors through the colors
to separate them then I go through a second time   and cut the fabric I do this on a very slight
angle so the definition is more prominent or   tilt your longer scissors up a little bit for
me that works but for some people it may not now that everything's detailed I vacuumed the
rug and make sure that there's no lint on the   back in front you can also go over the rug with
a lint remover now that you're almost done flip   the rug upside down and slap your label on it
I make sure people know it's a one of one rug   and if they decide to scan the code they get
all of my info congratulations you tufted your   first rug now you might want to learn how to
price that rug so watch that video here [Music]

Rapunzel & Hansel & Gretel – 2 episodes of Magical Carpet with ChuChu & Friends – ChuChu TV

Look! ChuChu, ChaCha, Chiku and Chika are on their magical flying carpet. And they're off to the land of fairy tales. If you're ready for a fun ride, say Chiiii… Choooo… Chaaaa… Chiiii… Choooo… Chaaaa… And today, the magical carpet has brought ChuChu, ChaCha, Chiku and Chika to a tall, lonely tower. Look at this tower! It gives me the chills! It has no doors or stairs, just one tiny window! Which means that if somebody's inside, there's no way for them to get out that's scary! Well, it's all so silent.

I'm sure there's no one inside! But, Chika was wrong! Look! There's a young lady inside. And she's crying! Something's wrong. We should find out. Yes! Hi! I'm ChuChu. And these are my friends Chiku, Chika and ChaCha. We noticed you were crying, so we thought we'd find out if you're okay. How kind you are, ChuChu, Chiku, Chika and ChaCha. I'm Rapunzel. And no, I'm not okay. I'm a prisoner in this tower. Yes, a cruel and dangerous witch has held me prisoner in this tower for as long as I can remember. If she spots you, she'll cast an evil spell on you! Hurry! Get inside! You'll understand how scary she is when you hear my story! Without making a sound, ChuChu and her friends slipped in through the narrow window.

And then began Rapunzel's story Rapunzel's parents were very poor. Most days, they went to bed hungry. Next to their old hut was a castle that belonged to a witch. The witch's garden had trees, laden with fruit I haven't eaten a thing all day! What wouldn't I give for some fruit from that garden! But no one ever dared enter the witch's garden. It was said that she had evil powers. My dear, could you fetch me just one piece of juicy fruit from that garden, please? It's very risky, my dear. If the witch catches us, she'll cast a spell on us Very well, then. I guess I'll have to go to bed hungry again tonight. Just then, they saw the witch ride away on her horse. Rapunzel's father turned to look at his wife. He saw how pale and thin she'd become from staying hungry The witch has left the castle. Maybe I can dash into her garden and get you some fruit just this one time. A few nights later, Rapunzel's mother was very hungry again. Her husband waited for the witch to ride away and he entered the witch's garden again for some fruit.

But that night, something unexpected happened. The witch returned sooner than usual Who's there? You dared to steal from me now you will be punished I'm going to turn this man to stone Please, please spare him! We will do anything you want, but please don't turn him to stone. Are you ready to give me anything I ask for? Yes, yes. Most definitely. We promise. All right then, I will spare your life now. But in exchange, when you have a baby, you must give the child to me. It will be mine! And that was the witch's cruel punishment, for a few pieces of fruit.

A year later, the couple was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, with long golden hair. They named her Rapunzel and they loved her dearly. They hadn't seen the witch since the day she'd threatened to turn Rapunzel's father into stone and so they thought she must have gone away and forgotten all about the punishment. But they were so wrong. Did you really think I'd forget about the promise you made me? Give her to me! Quick, my dear, pour this oil on the floor Rapunzel's parents tried everything to keep the witch from getting hold of their baby But her evil powers were too much for them And that is how Rapunzel became the witch's prisoner. Ever since she was a baby, she had been locked up in the tower and had never set foot outside! The only one who visited her was the witch! Years passed and Rapunzel grew into a beautiful young woman with long, golden hair.

She had never set foot outside the tower, but she dreamed of walking free and someday meeting her parents. Every day, the witch would pay several surprise visits to the tower, to make sure that Rapunzel was securely imprisoned. Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair! I hope you haven't been up to any tricks? Who? Me? No not at all. And after she was satisfied that Rapunzel wasn't up to any tricks, she would leave the same way she came. Rapunzel led a very lonely life in the tower, but then, one day she got a pleasant surprise. oh, to be free. ho, to sit under a tree. That day, a handsome young Prince was out riding in the woods. Drawn by Rapunzel's singing, he went up to the tower and secretly watched what was happening. He was struck by the beauty of the young girl in the tower, and after the witch left, he decided he must meet her. Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair. The minute the Prince and Rapunzel met, they fell in love. Rapunzel told him how the witch had kept her a prisoner in the tower and the Prince promised her that he would return with a ladder and take her away with him to be his wife.

But that was not to happen. You cunning young things! You thought you could outsmart me? Take this. Anyone who tries to help you will meet with the same fate. They will be turned to stone. So don't get up to any tricks, Rapunzel. Now ChuChu and friends understood why Rapunzel was so sad. Poor Rapunzel, such terrible things have happened to you! We're going to help you.

No no anyone who tries to help me will meet the same fate as my poor Prince. You children had better leave fast. The witch will be here any minute! But, we can't leave you here like this. Let's think of a plan fast. Think, think, think. I've got it! I have an idea! And that's when Chuchu had a brilliant idea! Quick, Chiku, ChaCha behind the mirror. Chika, you remember what you have to do? Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your golden hair! I hope you haven't been up to any tricks, Rapunzel? Look, witch, I'm here to help Rapunzel escape.

Why, you pesky little boy! Tell me, how will you help her if you're turned to stone? And everything went just as ChuChu had planned. By using a mirror to reflect the witch's spell back at her, the witch got a taste of her own medicine! Thank you, my little friends. Now the witch's evil spells will never be able to harm anyone again! But oh… my poor prince! Is he going to remain a stone statue forever? Rapunzel the witch's spell has broken. The witch no longer has any powers! C'mon Rapunzel, let's get you out of here! And so, the Prince and Rapunzel were reunited, never to be parted again. The very next day, they were married, in the presence of Rapunzel's parents. The prince took Rapunzel's parents away to live in his palace and they were never hungry again. Rapunzel, we've got to get going now. ChuChu, ChaCha, Chiku and Chika thank you for everything you did for me. I'm really grateful for your help. Please do visit us again. We will! Bye, Rapunzel. Bye, Prince! That was fun! Now to our next adventure in Fairytale Land! If you want to go on another magical ride with ChuChu and friends, say Chiiii…

Choooo… Chaaaa… Chiiii… Choooo… Chaaaa… The magical carpet has brought ChuChu, ChaCha, Chiku and Chika to a house made of candy! Look at this! A house made of candy and lollipops and gingerbread! Unbelievable! I want to take a bite! Stop! Don't! It's a trap! Get behind those trees. The witch will be back any minute! Hurry, follow me! Hi, I'm Gretel. Hi, Gretel, I'm ChuChu and these are ChaCha, Chiku and Chika. Hi, Gretel! I'm sorry, ChaCha, I had to stop you from taking a bite from the candy house. The old lady, who's actually a witch, might have seen you. And she'd have put you in a cage, like she's put my brother, Hansel and she says she's going to eat him up! Gretel, slow down. A witch is going to eat your brother? What's going on? Let me tell you everything from the very beginning.

And so began the story of Hansel and Gretel. Hansel and Gretel were brother and sister. Their mother had died many months ago. Their father loved them dearly but their father was a poor woodcutter who used to leave the house at dawn and return late in the evening. All throughout the day, he would worry about his dear children and wonder what he could do to look after them better. And that's why the woodcutter decided to marry again. The lady he married was very kind to Hansel and Gretel but little did the woodcutter know that she was kind to them only when he was around. The minute his back was turned, she was cruel and mean to the children.

And she made their lives miserable! Here, eat this. Don't you dare waste it. Do you know how much it costs to feed the two of you? She scolded them all day and starved them. She made them do all the housework. Hansel and Gretel never told their father about how their new mother was so mean to them. They didn't want him to worry or feel sad. But that was a mistake! Because the new mother had evil plans up her sleeve. How I hate these two! I want to get rid of them! Tomorrow, after their father leaves for work, I'll take them deep into the woods and leave them there.

They'll never be able to find their way back and wild animals will eat them up. And I'll tell their father they ran away. Luckily, Gretel overheard their new mother's wicked scheme. Hansel, we're in trouble. Our new mother plans to leave us in the woods tomorrow morning, to be eaten up by wild animals. Don't worry, dear sister. I have a plan to bring us back home safely.

Tomorrow morning, when our new mother gives us our breakfast of dry, stale bread, don't eat it. Secretly slip it into my pocket. Okay, I'll do as you say, Hansel. The next morning, after their father left for work, the new mother told Hansel and Gretel that she was taking them to a beautiful place that she wanted to show them. Hansel and Gretel knew what this was all about but they pretended to be excited. She then handed them each a stale slice of bread. Hurry up and eat this and then we'll leave. But as soon as she looked away, Hansel and Gretel hid the bread in Hansel's pocket and pretended to chew. Still eating? Hurry up! Let's go! And just as she had planned, the new mother took them deep into the woods but clever little Hansel had thought of a great plan! He was leaving a trail of breadcrumbs as he walked.

By following this trail, he and Gretel would be able to find their way back home! But alas! Hansel and Gretel didn't know that a hungry little bird was hopping behind them, eating up the trail! The beautiful place that I told you about, it's here somewhere. I'll go look for it. You wait here. Don't move from here till I'm back. Hansel and Gretel knew that their new mother wouldn't be coming back for them. Well, Hansel, it's a good thing we have your trail of breadcrumbs to follow. It'll lead us back home. Yes, and tonight when father gets home from work, we must tell him the truth about our new mother. Yes, absolutely. Let's go, now. And that's when Hansel and Gretel realized that the bird had eaten up all the crumbs of bread they'd dropped! They realized that there was no trail to follow back home! They were truly lost! They wandered around in the deep woods for hours, hoping to find their way out, but with no luck.

Suddenly, they came to a small clearing and standing in front of them was a pretty little house made of candy and lollipops and gingerbread. They were so hungry that they ran to the house and started breaking pieces of the goodies and eating them. Suddenly, an old lady came out of the house and spoke to them in a kind voice. Who's that eating from my house? We're two children, kind lady. I'm Hansel and this is my sister Gretel. We're very hungry. Is it okay if we help ourselves to some goodies, dear lady? Of course, little ones. But I can't see very well. My eyes are weak. Will you come closer so that I can hug you? That's so sweet! Sure! Hansel and Gretel walked up to the old lady, thinking she would hug them but they were in for a nasty surprise! Because the old lady was actually a wicked witch! You fell for my trap! What just happened? Who are you? Let us go, please, you're hurting us! Let you go? Never! I'm a witch and I love to eat children! Why…

You look like a healthy little boy! I think I'm going to eat you tonight! I was planning to make a soup in that pot. And I think a juicy little boy will go well with my soup! Please! Let my brother go, please! But Gretel's pleas fell on deaf ears! She sobbed as she watched the witch drag poor Hansel to a strong iron cage. She pushed him in and drawing a big key from her waistband, she locked him up.

You girl, fill water from the well in this pot for my soup. I'm going to the woods to look for some herbs. And when I get back, it's going to be soup and your brother for dinner! So, that's what happened. And now the witch will be back any minute from the woods and she'll eat up my poor brother. Please do something. Help me! Of course, we'll help you, Gretel! Let's think of a plan. Thinking. Let's see. Hey! Gretel, did you say the witch can't see very well? Yes, that's right. She has weak eyes. And where did you say she keeps the keys to the cage where Hansel is locked up? They hang by a rope from her waist. Okay, I have an idea! Tell us! Tell us, Chiku! Okay, so the first thing we need to do is take water from the well and make the ground in front of the cage really slippery. And I'm lucky I'm carrying these scissors in my pocket! What I'll do is run ahead to the path and hide in the bushes.

When the witch returns with her herbs, I quietly cut the rope that has the keys. Then, I'll sneak up to the cage and let Hansel out. The witch has weak eyes, so she won't be able to see me do that. I get it, Chiku! What a brilliant plan! Once Hansel is out of the cage, Gretel has to somehow trick the witch to walk on the slippery ground. And then, she'll slip and land right inside the cage! And Chiku will lock her up! And Hansel and Gretel will be safe! That's right! C'mon, let's do it! Hansel, don't worry. We've got a plan to save you! And so, the children got to work. Witch! Oh, Witch, I have bad news. Hansel managed to slip through the bars of the cage. He's escaped. Come see for yourself! What? And their plan worked perfectly! There, that'll keep you from torturing little children! Bye bye, witch! Come on, everyone! Get on the carpet! Time to take Hansel and Gretel back to their father! When Hansel and Gretel got home, they were in for a big surprise.

They're just two sweet little children. All they ever wanted from me is some love and I treated them so badly. I left them to be eaten by wild animals. How could I have been so cruel? I must look for them and if I find them, I will hold them close to my heart and beg forgiveness. Mother! You little dears, you're safe! I'm so sorry, little ones. Can you find it in your hearts to forgive me? Mother, of course! I promise to love you with all my heart. And the day ended happily in Hansel and Gretel's home. When the woodcutter got back from work, his wife confessed all her wrong doings, and she was forgiven. And Hansel and Gretel told their father all about how ChuChu and friends had helped them escape from the witch. Thank you, ChuChu, ChaCha, Chiku and Chika for saving Hansel and Gretel.

And for bringing them home safely. I don't know what we'd have done without you. You're welcome! We'd better be going, now. That was fun! Now, to our next adventure in Fairytale Land! If you want to go on another magical ride with ChuChu and friends, say Chiiii… Choooo… Chaaaa… Chiiii… Choooo… Chaaaa….

My Bissell Pro Heat Carpet Cleaner won’t SPRAY WATER😭 (12 Quick Fix Tips to get it WORKING again!)

hi everybody Welcome to my channel this is
hopefully going to be a quick video showing   you how to fix your Bissell cleaner the water
tank is full the Bissell solution tank is full   but for some reason there was no water when I
hit the trigger in the back there was no water   or any solution being sucked back up I've gone
ahead and taken off the screw first of all I   unplugged it I took off the screw here and
then there's one on each side here there's   actually a secondary screw down here I've
already taken my finger and kind of cleared   the way but I think this is probably where the
water shoots out at and there just was so much   gunk in front of there it wasn't allowing that
to happen so hopefully that is the problem and   there isn't like a problem with a belt or the
actual trigger switch there's just so much gunk   look at all of this there's all this buildup
Gunk from carpet I'm assuming the problem is   it couldn't come out in in the first place
so I'm going to get this all cleaned up put   it back together and give it a whirl and
hopefully that is what it took to fix it.  I plugged everything back in and that does not
seem to be the problem I think there might be   a clog I actually stored that cleaner in
the tank and I think just based on what   I saw underneath I have a feeling there is a
clog in here so what I'm going to do is take   a screwdriver and take all this off and see
if I can find some type of a plug somewhere okay there were a couple screws there there
there and there which was looked like that   okay the lines just a quick look over here I'm
not seeing any apparent jams everything looks   fairly clean so I am going to look in I'm I'm
thinking there's some type of a build up within I   I think this is the heater but I can already
see like some corrosion and stuff on that okay   I got all the screws out oh holy smokes I'm
gonna clean that out and then I'm gonna check   double check all of these other lines I think
that I've learned not to store I think the   soap just gets built up we do have hard water
I live in the country I'm gonna go get a Q-tip   so I'm gonna try to clean this and hold my camera
steady that's just really disgusting look at that   gross I would suggest putting it looks like
we're going into surgery here oh yuck gross if I had this out in my shop I might even get
my air compressor out and try to blow that out   um but I'm gonna clean this…oh grody, it
looks like cottage cheese or something in there.

If you have a problem with water spraying I
honestly think this is probably the first place   I'd check all right so that is all the crud I dug
out of there um one thing to be very cautious of   there's like these little red washers or gaskets
whatever you want to call them um they're located   here you want to make sure you don't lose any and
that obviously is a soap because it can it smells   like soap and the flow obviously is blocked so
I'm going to try to put it back together maybe   checking a couple of these tubes and fire it up
and see if the water and the soap doesn't flow now   okay I have it reassembled I'm
gonna turn it on and see if it works [Cleaner running but not spraying]
It's still not gonna work.

Okay so I want to show you this a couple other
things while I have this apart this is actually   the filter that goes on the bottom of the water
tank and it does pop apart so I took that and   I ran that and flushed it under hot water and
I do believe that the one with I believe this   I believe this tank also has one of these
at the bottom so I'm going to flush that   out and yet another place to check in the
top of the head of this vacuum where the   tank is there's another filter so I took that
off and washed it too it had some crud in it   for good measure I'm also going to take these off
and clean them probably you're going to need some   type of pliers and squeeze this part and I'm going
to take these off and wash them as well all right   so I have those back on but I'm kind of looking
at these tubes this right here looks like a lot of   crystallization right here and build up that looks
like there might be some sediment in there too   um I'm just going to kind of
clean out every hose and I also   don't like taking things apart because I often
I'm like oh how did I put them back together so   what I would suggest is before you take anything
apart take a photo of it first that way you can   look back and see exactly what it is you took
apart this is a lot of the electrical I really   don't want to touch that I just do think though
that these things need taken apart and that that   could be a huge problem right there that looks
like a build up um I took some of these apart   I'm getting very familiar with this system
you're going to need to use some type of   pliers I have my needle nose pliers it's
kind of hard to film this and do it but   I'm going to squish that and take that apart next
I cleaned out this line I cleaned out that line   where is it had very fine as you
can see like a build up in there here's some more Gunk that I was
able to get out but then I noticed   within this line it looks like there's a build
up there and I did notice it was odd that not   only wasn't water coming out the front here like
it's supposed to but also this tool this hand   tool here with the sprayer nothing was coming
out there too I think that goes up through the   vacuum and ultimately I think the other end of it
is right here so I'm going to take this apart try   to rinse it maybe from this side okay I think that
worked or is working I think that was it I poured   what I did was took that other end and poured it
in the sink and I didn't think that'd be enough   to flush it but I held it up a little bit and let
gravity work and it flushed all of that junk out   so I'm going to try to reassemble it and give it a
try okay so the more I look the more clogs I find   this is now clear and then I was getting ready to
put this back and that's just for the heck of it I   thought I'd look here and as I pull this coil back
look at that there's a massive clog there too so   I'm going to take it apart here and empty all that
out I'm going to put a paper towel underneath it   because I don't want the inside of this to be
all wet so here's another area to look at and I   do believe these are clear I think I looked at
them earlier but if you want to know for sure   these coils kind of obscure blockage but it looks is there anything in there that
actually looks like it's pretty clear Let me see if my camera will pick that up so
that looks like it's clear from there there and those look okay I'm gonna check this one too all right so all right there's some blockage
in here I've also been using a paper clip to   kind of some of these connections I kind of
reamed that out with that so all right let's   take a look at this and then maybe I'll partially
assemble it and try to run a little water through gross so there is a little crud did I get it all   I just want to make sure I got it all that
and it looks like I did it looked really bad It looked like a lot more build up in the
tube than that there is a little bit I'm   going to take that pipe cleaner and get the
rest out but there is some buildup that could   have been enough just to block this and I'm
going to make sure that this is clear too could that have been enough to
keep it from working I don't know   combined all these blockages yes all right
so this did not work before what I'm doing   is just kind of letting the heater run and
flushing the water out into the sink [Music] The hand tool is working! The unit is working   too!
YEA it's gonna work now! what I think really helped was to Full
Throttle run the water through the hand   tool because you can get like a nice spray
coming out and I think I did about three   loads of this tank and now I see that the water
is actually coming through the front so I think   that that just needed time for all of those
things to unclog and running it through the   hand tool rather than through all of these
very fine things in the front I think that   was the trick so I actually fixed it and I'm
going to show a closing shot of it working.

I hope this was helpful! Don't forget

How to Clean Your Oriental Rug at Home | DIY Rug Care

So one of the most common questions  we get here at Catalina Rug is,   how do I clean my rug without having to take it  to professional rug cleaning? So in this video,   what we're gonna do is we're gonna show you that  process of how you can clean up your rug at home   in a very lightweight fashion without the risk  of damaging the rug. And it will be good enough   to make your rug look cleaner and remove some of  the dirt and it give you a little bit more time   before you will have to take it for professional  rug cleaning. So the way we're gonna do this video   is first I'll show you what kind of equipment  and materials you need is pretty basic stuff,   and then I'll show you the process step by step.  So stick around and all that is coming up now.

All right, so to get started, let's go over  the materials you'll need to clean your rug   at home. So you'll need a couple of cotton  towels, like these ones, preferably white,   and make sure that they're clean. And you'll  need some sort of brush like this one here   that is gonna help you brush the pile of the  rug. And then you'll also need some sort of   soap similar to this one that we're using here.  This is a dishwashing foam.

And just make sure   whatever product you're using doesn't have  a bleach or anything that's gonna damage the   rug. So here I just wanna show you a little  bit of a closeup of each of these products.   So basically this is the towel that we're using.  Here's a closeup of the brush that we're using,   and then also the dish washing foam  that we're using to clean the rug. All right, so first, before we get started with  actually cleaning the rug, we're gonna go ahead   and give it a nice vacuum.

First, we're gonna  start with the top of the rug and make sure   that we are vacuuming side to side. And also make  sure to avoid vacuuming the fringes of the rug   because that could damage the rug over time.  So once you're done with vacuuming the front,   we're gonna go to the back. All right, so now that  we've finished vacuuming the front of the rug,   we're gonna flip the rug over and  vacuum the back. This is optional,   but it really does help to remove some of the  dust and debris that have gone into the pile.   And depending on the size of your rug, you  could use this trick where we are flipping   half of the rug over and vacuuming one half.  And then once we're done vacuuming this half,   we're gonna move on and vacuum  the other half of the rug.

All right, so now that we're done vacuuming the  rug, we're ready to start actually cleaning it.   So we're gonna mix the soap with some water to  dilute it so that way it's not too strong. And   then just go ahead and take the towel and dip it  into the mixture and start gently wiping the rug   and try to go with the direction of the pile.  You don't want to go too much against the pile   because it's gonna get into the deeper parts of  the pile and it's gonna get very wet. So you're   just trying to focus on cleaning the surface of  the rug. And for this reason, you're gently wiping   on top of the rug and just going with the pile,  as we're showing you here, and of course whenever   you feel like the towel is drying up, you could  dip it back into the mixture to soak it up more. And for this step, I recommend doing this in  sections. So pick out one section of the rug   and clean it first, and then move on to the other  sections. And this really depends on the size of   your rug, but for example, for this rug, we  tried to clean it in four different sections   and the size is around a four by six.

Now as you  can see here, our towel is starting to get dirty   from cleaning up just one part of the rug. And  this rug is actually pretty clean to begin with,   but you can definitely expect that as you  start doing this, your towel is gonna get   very dirty. So go ahead and switch to a clean  towel whenever your towel gets too dirty   cuz you don't want to be distributing that dirt  around the cleaner parts of the rug. So as   far as cleaning the pile of the rug, that's  pretty much the step that you have to take. And you'll notice that the pile of the rug  is gonna be dry within 30 minutes to an hour   and we're really dampening the pile. We're  not getting it soaking wet. So you should   expect it to dry fairly quickly and you could  feel the rug and just feel the pile of the rug   to make sure that it's completely dry before  you start walking over it and using the rug.   Now for the next step, we're gonna show you how  to clean the fringes of the rug.

And of course   this process is optional, but if you find that  the fringes are dirty, then you could use this   process to clean them. All you need is a stick of  wood or something that you could place underneath   to place the fringes over. And you're gonna use  the same soap and water mixture that you created   along with the brush to clean the fringes.  And we're gonna show you how to do that next. All right, now that we have the stick in place  and the fringes placed over it, you just take   the brush and dip it into the mixture that we have  and then start soaking and brushing the fringes   from the rug towards the end of the fringes.  And just make sure that the mixture gets nice   and soaking into the fringe so that way the  fringes start to get soaking wet and you're   gonna go from one end of the rug to the other.  And then once you are complete with one side of   the fringes, you're gonna switch to the other  side.

But do leave the stick of wood in place   because it allows the fringes to dry easier. So if  you can use two sticks of wood for this process,   that would be the best. Otherwise, we  recommend you wait for one side to dry   before you work on the other side and move the  stick over to clean the other side of the rug. Alright, so that's how you can clean your hand-knotted rug at home and hopefully this will make   your rug look cleaner and remove some of the  dirt.

And this will allow you to wait a bit   longer before you have to take it for professional  rug cleaning. And just something to be cautious   about is to double check the products that  you're using and look at the labels to make   sure it doesn't have any sort of bleach or  anything that could damage the rug. Also,   you can check with your local professional  rug cleaners about the type of product   you're using to make sure that it's not  gonna hurt the rug. And if you enjoy this   content and you learn something from it,  then I invite you to like and subscribe   and comment below in this video and check out  our playlist about rug care cuz we have a lot   of different videos covering this topic.

And  with that, I will see you in the next video.

Ultimate Cosy Winter Craft: Transform your space with a DIY Moss Rug

Want to bring a touch of nature indoors? Creating this beautiful moss rug is simple in technique, but requires patience! We'll use basic techniques like latch hooking and crocheting to achieve the various moss-like textures. The best part of this project is working with soft, squishy yarn and the flexibility to start and stop at any point without counting stitches. If you ordered the XL moss rug, here’s what you should have received. The smaller rug kit includes a blank rug canvas, less yarn and colors, one latch hook, and non-slip backing. To latch hook with milk cotton yarn, start by cutting the yarn to length.

Cut a piece of cardboard to your desired yarn length and wrap the yarn around the cardboard. Wrap the yarn around the cardboard about 100 times. This will give you enough yarn to work with without being too thick to cut. Use sharp scissors to cut the yarn on both ends so you have strands of the desired length. If you have more than one latch hook, use the larger one for the milk cotton yarn. Latch hooks work like this: Push the hook into one grid and out the other side.

As the head is pushed out, the latch will catch on the mesh, revealing the hook. This is where we'll hook the yarn. The latch catches on the mesh on the way out, closing and allowing us to pull the yarn through. Let's see it in action. There are two ways to secure the yarn. This is method 1. Take 2 strands of milk cotton yarn and fold them in half to create a loop. Thread the latch hook through the loop and the mesh.

Wrap the yarn across the latch while it's open. As you pull the tool out, the latch closes around the yarn. Release the ends of the yarn once the latch is closed and pull the ends through to create a knot, securing the yarn to the mesh. Let's take a closer look. Method 2: Create a loop with the yarn, but this time, push the latch hook through the mesh first, then hook the yarn loop.

Pull the loop through to the other side while holding onto the ends. Push the latch through the yarn loop and wrap the yarn ends over the latch. Pull the tool back through the loop and release the ends to create a knot, securing the yarn to the mesh. Let's take a closer look. Experiment with both methods to find which one works best for you. You can do the outline first and then fill in the rest, or latch hook row by row. Choose whatever you prefer. Brush out the yarn with your comb to fluff it up and trim any strays as needed. Next, let’s learn how to create a gradient effect using mohair yarn. The process is very similar. Decide on the length of the yarn, wrap it around the card, and cut it to length.

This line is where the green yarn will start to transition to the off-white yarn. Because mohair yarn is so fine, use the smaller latch hook. Use 4 strands of mohair yarn for each grid. Let's do a small section as an example. We'll use all green yarn for the right-hand side. And all off-white yarn on the left-hand side. Based on the distance between the two colors, we're going to do 2 columns in all off-white. For the 3rd and 4th columns from the left, we'll mix 3 strands of off-white with 1 strand of green yarn. For the next two columns (5 & 6), mix 2 strands of off-white with 2 strands of green yarn. Mix 1 strand of off-white with 3 strands of green yarn for the next 2 columns. This gradual blending creates a beautiful gradient effect.

Complete the entire section and brush it out. If you want to mix milk cotton yarn with mohair yarn, use the ratio of 1 milk cotton thread to 2 mohair threads per grid. We'll crochet the faux fur yarn to create dense, fluffy sections for a different look and texture. Use the latch hook to thread the yarn between two grids. Secure with a knot and pull the tail to the back. Thread the latch hook 1-2 grids from the starting grid. Hook the yarn and pull it through. Unhook the loop you just created and thread the loop onto the shaft of the latch hook.

Adjust the tension so it's not too loose. Thread the latch hook 1-2 grids from the current grid. Hook the yarn and pull it through the mesh and loop. Unhook the loop, thread it onto the latch hook shaft, and adjust the tension of the yarn. Let's take a closer look. Thread the latch hook 1-2 grids from the current grid. Hook the yarn and pull it through the mesh and loop. Unhook the yarn and let it loop around the latch hook shaft. Adjust the tension to keep everything taut, but not too tight to avoid crinkling the canvas/mesh. Sometimes you might pick the wrong grid to stitch and the yarn doesn't cover the mesh. In this case, pull out a few stitches. Remove the latch hook and slowly pull the stitch out until you see the previous loop/stitch.

Thread the latch hook through that loop and start stitching again. When you're completing the last stitch for the section, thread the latch hook through the mesh as usual. Cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm tail. Hook the tail and thread it through the mesh Pull the yarn tight to secure the knot. Push the latch hook through the mesh from the back, hook the yarn tail, and pull it through to hide it. When crocheting faux fur yarn, you can outline the section first and then fill it in row by row toward the center. Alternatively, you can crochet row by row to fill the section, which might create streaks resembling a lawn mower pattern. Choose the method you prefer and think looks best. To create moss-like lumps with pom pom yarn, cut the yarn into sections with a pom pom on each end. We'll attach the pom pom yarn to the canvas in groups of three. Thread the latch hook through the mesh and pull the first pom pom yarn section through. Unhook the pom pom yarn loop and thread it onto the latch hook shaft.

Find a grid 2-3 grids away from the first and thread the latch hook through. Hook the second pom pom yarn and pull it through the mesh and the loop of the previous pom pom yarn. Thread the latch hook into a grid 2-3 grids away from the first in the opposite direction of the second pom pom yarn. Hook the third pom pom yarn and thread it through the mesh and the loop of the second pom pom yarn. Grab the last loop and remove the latch hook. Wrap the loop around one of the pom poms of the same yarn section. This secures all the pom pom yarn in place for this group. Repeat the process in groups of three until you completely fill a section.

If your kit doesn't include a pom pom maker, skip ahead. If you have one, keep watching. This pom pom maker creates the densest and nicest pom poms, so definitely try it if you have it. Open the two donut halves and line them up. Start wrapping the yarn around them. Once you have densely wrapped around half of the donut, bring the yarn across and start wrapping around the other half. When you're finished wrapping, cut the yarn. Keep your finger on the tail and close the donut. Now cut the yarn all around the outer edge of the donut. Make sure to secure the center with your other hand.

Slide a long strand of yarn between the gap of the two donut halves. Tie a tight knot to secure everything in place, then tie another knot on the opposite side to make it extra secure. Remove the pom pom maker to reveal a nice, dense pom pom. Trim any stray strands for a neat finish. Thread the two long yarn tails through two adjacent grids. Tie a double knot at the back to secure it in place. (I'm not doing this now since I might want to move it later, but I will double knot before sewing on the anti-slip backing.) Brush out the pom pom to fluff it up even more and trim as needed.

You can make a pom pom with just your hands! Wrap the yarn around your hand or fingers if you want a smaller pom pom. Wrap the yarn around your hand at least 150 times for a full pom pom. For smaller sizes, you can wrap it fewer times. Once you're done wrapping, remove the yarn from your hand and tie a long strand of yarn around the center.

Double and triple knot it tightly to keep it secure. Cut the loops. Trim any stray strands. Thread the long yarn tails through adjacent grids and secure them with a double knot. Fluff the pom pom with a brush and trim any stray strands. These are all the skills you'll need to create a beautiful moss rug. Take your time and enjoy the process. Don't forget to glue or sew on the anti-slip mat when you're done. Happy crafting!.
